Save Our Sandra - Member of Extinction Rebellion appears in Cour

Palace van Justitie, Rechtbank, The Hague. The Netherlands. Tuesday 10th March, 2020. On Friday 31st January, 2020 - Extinction Rebellion and Code Red held a peaceful demonstration outside Shell’s headquarters in The Hague; all those taking part were arrested. In the group was (26) year old Ms. Sandra van der Nat, who had poured a biodegradable substance resembling Crude oil over the stairs of Shell’s main entrance (for which the protesters had already assembled and had a cleaning party at the ready). Ms. Sandra van der Nat was held in detention for (50) hours – which by all accounts was a little excessive. She was finally released and ordered to appear in Court. The hearing took place this afternoon and forty-plus members of ER quietly sat in the court room offering their support. The hearing lasted just over an hour and the verdict will be given on the 24th March at 13:00. The supporters also staged a “Die-in” outside the Courthouse prior to the court session.
