Malieveld, The Hague, The Netherlands. Sunday 22nd August, 2020. Together for Freedom. An estimated crowd of 1.000 gathered on the Malieveld this afternoon, accompanied by a large police presence. The protest started and ended peacefully. Prior warning was given on Saturday 23rd August, that the police would break-up the protest if it extends beyond the allocated time. Calls had been made to demonstrate peacefully. Plenty of slogans were chanted, and in most cases, the social distance of 1.5 meters was note adhered to, no face masks were worn and the crowd behaved as if (Covid-19) virus did not exist.
