Hundreds of ‘New-age’ protesters gathered to chant, dance and beat their drums on the sea-front of The Hague, as the weather changed from wind to sun, and then a brief downpour of rain. Undeterred, the gatherers were in a jubilant mood, as they kept-up a continuous wall of sound from the beat of their drums. The organizer Dennis Vessies, is quoted as saying: "When the earth is ravaged and the animals are dying, a new tribe of people shall come unto the earth from many colors, classes, creeds, and who by their actions and deeds shall make the earth green again. They will be known as Warriors of the Rainbow."
