Mauritshuis, The Hague, The Netherlands. Monday 1st June, 2020. The Mauritshuis in The Hague, is the home of the Dutch Maters: Rembrandt and Vermeer. The gallery had planed a visiting exhibit by English painter George Stubbs: George Stubbs – The man, the horse, the painter. Due to the (Covid-19) pandemic, the Museum had to close its doors to the public at large and, the 1st June was to be its last day. The Mauritshuis has now been granted an extension and can exhibit the collection until: Sunday 30th August 2020. With a very limited person capacity to its galleries due to ‘Social-distancing’ and with no more than a hand-full of the viewing public permitted at one time, thus allowing ample room for ‘Social-distancing’. This can be advantages as one has an unrestricted view of its masters. Imaged: George Stubbs – Whistlejacket c.1762. © Charles M Vella/Alamy Live News
