Iza, who's recent death in Poland was due to the new anti-aborti
Kooekamp, The Hague, The Netherlands. Sunday 21st November, 202130-year-old Iza, a would be mother with no medical complications, died in September due to septic shock. Hospital doctors in Pszczyna, Southern Poland, would not terminate her 22-week pregnancy, even though the fetus had no chance of survival. Doctors now have to wait for the fetus to die a natural death, before an abortion is performed. Women’s rights activists say the woman was a victim of Poland’s newly restrictive abortion law. An illegal, unlawful abortion can carry a sentence of up to eight years in prison. As this is the only publicized case so far; no one knows how many other victims had succumb to a similar fate.
